As a child growing up on a farm in South Africa, I spent many hours outdoors observing nature. Still today, I am fascinated by how certain structures in nature are predetermined by a supreme purpose.
It was only many years later in art school that I learned about formalism and how it has shaped the world we live in today.
Working alongside architects has taught me so much about the harmonious relationship between form and function and how to apply an user-centered approach to my work.
In March of 2019 my wife and I, together with our three children, made Auckland our home.
